Fool the Judge

Ten writing puzzles, marked in real time by a model that cannot explain itself.

Jev answers one kind of question here: given this text, how likely is that statement to be true? It replies with a number between 0 and 1 and nothing else — no reasoning, no sentence, no appeal. Your job is to move the number.

It answers in a couple of hundred milliseconds, so the verdict updates while you are still typing. That is the whole reason this is playable: with an ordinary model you would wait seconds per keystroke and pay for the privilege. Each round has a rule that closes off the obvious answer.

Nothing is sent anywhere but the judge, and your attempts are kept in this browser only. The model scoring you is jev-latest; the same ten questions, asked of your text, cost a few thousandths of a cent each.
